Carjacking suspect arrested after driving 115 mph through North Portland, police say

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A man was arrested Friday evening after a carjacking — with the suspect driving recklessly through North Portland, surpassing speeds of 115 miles per hour, authorities announced Monday.

Around 6:15 p.m. Friday, Portland police responded to the area of 7000 N Portsmouth Ave. after a reported carjacking.

Officers contacted the victim, who provided a description of the suspect who stole the vehicle.
