Republic National Distributing Company, which operates facilities in Portland, Eugene, Medford and Bend, notified each city’s leaders on May 18 that it expects 146 employees to be laid off as it finalizes plans to sell the operations.
The WARN notice mentioned remote employees in Oregon would also be impacted. Layoffs are expected to begin on June 17, and the workers are represented by a union. However, it was unclear how many positions would be cut in each location…
