PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Portland business is closing after just a few years in Old Town, but owners say the shutdown won’t be permanent.
Goodies Snack Shop has announced that June will be its final month of operations at 139 NW 2nd Ave. The market has sold snacks from independent brands that may not be found in typical retailers since opening in 2022, co-owner Joyce Chung told KOIN 6 last year.

“Over the last four years, this space has been the backdrop to our lives — we’ve shared countless memories, supported incredible brands, and watched this business grow alongside our own family,” Goodies Snack Shop said on Instagram. “Saying goodbye to our first home is incredibly heavy, and we’re allowing ourselves the space to be sad — but more than that, we are choosing to be immensely proud. This isn’t a goodbye to the mission; it’s a transition for the brand.”
Although Goodies is departing Old Town, the business has hinted it is not closing up shop for good. The shop said it will reveal additional information about its “next evolution” in the upcoming months…
