As temperatures rise and Oregonians start looking for ways to cool off and enjoy the outdoors, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office River Patrol Unit is raising the alarm about new hazards on the Sandy River.
A December storm created a large sandbar and sent logs tumbling into the Sandy River between Oxbow Regional Park in Gresham and Dabney State Recreation Area near Corbett, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
