A lifelong Rhode Islander who grew up on the shores of Narragansett Bay in Warwick, Terrence Gray is the Acting Director of the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) and has worked at DEM for the whole of his 34-year career.
Narragansett Bay is a pretty complicated environmental system, we’ve got temperature changes over the years, we’ve got pollution loading, climate change, we’ve got development all around it, there are a lot of variables going into what’s going on with the water quality.
