PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha on Tuesday announced a multistate lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The lawsuit, filed in Rhode Island Superior Court, alleges HUD has unlawfully capped funding for permanent housing projects and undermined the Continuum of Care program, which supports housing programs for the homeless and people with housing instability.
