Some summer days are just plain hot. The kind of days where the second you step out of your car, you’re already wondering how long it’ll be before you’re drenched in sweat. That’s exactly how my visit to Seekonk Grand Prix Family Fun Center started, and let me tell you, walking into the air-conditioned arcade felt like hitting the jackpot before I had even played my first game.
The first thing that caught my attention was just how much there is to do. The arcade is packed with everything from classic games and air hockey to basketball shootouts and modern interactive games that are tough to walk away from. They even have an indoor ropes course that looked like an absolute blast for kids of all ages, making it a perfect place to cool off while still burning off some of that summer vacation energy.
Of course, once you’re ready to head back outside, that’s where the adventure really begins. Between the go-karts, mini golf, slick track, blaster boats (bumper boats) and everything else, there was a thrill for everybody. The blaster boats were especially refreshing on that hot afternoon as I cruised around soaking everyone else with the built-in water cannons.
