(WJAR) — A 2009 crash on the Washington Bridge led to an unexpected reunion years later between a crash survivor and the Rhode Island State trooper who first responded.
Lauren Malloy and three friends were stopped in traffic on July 4, 2009, when a speeding driver rear-ended their vehicle.
“The lights behind me were coming up way too fast and they weren’t going to stop in time,” said Malloy. “I told my friends to brace themselves. I gripped the steering wheel and I just kind of waited for impact.”…
