PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority is beginning the next phase of its Metro Connector Study and is now looking for public input.
The study, started in the spring of 2024, is exploring ways to provide faster, more frequent, and more reliable transit service connecting Metropolitan Providence, with a focus on high-capacity transit options like bus rapid transit and a potential light rail.
