Lovera VIP emergency suspension expires, Board of Licenses to meet on future punishment

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — A Providence nightclub that was temporarily shut down after two violent incidents in its parking lot has reopened after the city’s 72-hour emergency suspension expired before new penalties could be approved.

Police responded to Lovera VIP early last weekend after finding a crowd of about 300 people gathered in the club’s parking lot. Two men were arrested on alcohol-related charges.
