(WJAR) — The former Newport Creamery in Garden City was demolished Saturday, months after the longtime restaurant closed its doors.
The Cranston landmark served generations of Rhode Islanders for more than 60 years before closing on Dec. 28. The closure came after property owner WS Development exercised an early lease clause, clearing the way for new mixed-use retail space.
