Community turns out to help 5-year-old East Greenwich boy in need of marrow transplant

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WJAR) — Hundreds of Rhode Islanders came together Saturday to help give a local child a second chance at life by joining the National Marrow Donor Program registry.

Five-year-old Jack Palms of East Greenwich was diagnosed in April with a rare blood disorder.

His family says he now needs a bone marrow transplant, and the community has rallied behind him in hopes of finding a lifesaving donor…
