There comes a point when another coffee shop corner, borrowed office, or blank white wall just isn’t cutting it. For anyone launching a brand, updating a portfolio, planning a campaign, or finally bringing a long-simmering idea to life, the backdrop can matter almost as much as what’s in front of the lens.
That’s the gap Jen Korman and Kyla Delfino, co-founders of KYELLA, set out to fill with Unfiltered Studios, a new photo and content studio tucked inside the brand’s headquarters in a historic Olneyville mill. Instead of building the space around one signature aesthetic, they designed it to shift with the people using it, giving photographers, entrepreneurs, content creators, and creative teams the freedom to create multiple looks without leaving the room.
Original hardwood floors and oversized mill windows preserve the building’s character, while clean architectural lines, seamless backdrops, and a movable, double-sided wall give the studio plenty of range. A session can move from bright and minimal to bold and editorial with a few quick changes, making it possible to leave with a gallery that feels like it came from several different locations…
