(WJAR) — Perched above the Pawtuxet River in Coventry, the Nathanael Greene Homestead offers visitors a glimpse into the life of one of the American Revolution’s most influential military leaders and the Rhode Island home where his story unfolded.
Known as Spell Hall, the house was built in 1770 by Nathanael Greene, who would go on to become one of General George Washington’s most trusted commanders during the Revolutionary War.
“We are a historic house museum in honor of Nathanael Greene,” said Josh Wojnar, vice president and caretaker of the Nathanael Greene Homestead.
