CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — A home on Jay Court in Cranston was heavily damaged after a fire ripped through overnight.
Fire Chief Richard Mancini told 12 News that crews were called to these scene for multiple reports of a garage fire. When firefighters arrived, there were flames in the garage and the attic.

“Our crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the living area,” Mancini explained in an email. “The home did suffer some damage from heat, smoke, and water.”
Everyone inside the home was able to get out safely. No firefighters were hurt either…
