Early morning crash on Rt. 37 hospitalizes six; DUI suspected

CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — A crash on Route 37 early Saturday morning sent a family of five, as well as the driver of another car, to the hospital.

According to Cranston Police, at around 3:55 a.m., a car traveling eastward at a high rate of speed hit the car in front of it.

The five occupants of the car that was hit were all hospitalized. Four sustained minor injuries in the crash, but one suffered a serious facial injury that required surgery, according to Cranston Police…
