COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — Between the two of them, Coventry residents Albert DeSilva and Arlene Hicks have lived through 208 birthdays.
Brookdale Centre of New England held a celebration for the two residents on Wednesday. This summer, Hicks turned 101 years old and DeSilva turned 107.
“I’m very, very happy with this wonderful turnout of friends,” Hicks told 12 News. The former Red Cross volunteer was honored by Susan Roberts, the Rhode Island chapter’s executive director, during the event.
