East Providence will receive $50,000 in state funding to expand afterschool, summer and other out-of-school learning programs, part of a $1.629 million round of Learn365RI grants announced Aug. 7 by Governor Dan McKee and Education Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green.
The city publicized the award in a press release from the mayor’s office. What that money will actually pay for has not yet been detailed.
