(WJAR) — A Cranston woman is accused of killing her 21-year-old daughter with severe autism before attempting to take her own life.
According to autism advocates, the tragedy is indicative of a larger issue.
“While I don’t have any excuse for what happened, I do have empathy for what happened because I can see how it would happen and how it has happened in the past with other families,” said National Autism Association board member Wendy Fournier.
