A warmer, more humid day is on tap for Sunday, with increasing clouds and a chance of evening showers.
Sunday starts out dry, with a mix of clouds and sunshine. High temperatures will be a few degrees warmer on Sunday, in the low 80s during the afternoon. We’ll also have more humidity, with a typical late summer feel across Southern New England.
Most of Sunday will be dry, and nice for outdoor plans. A weak approaching cold front will bring a chance of scattered showers around sunset on Sunday evening, between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Those showers won’t last long at any one location.
Monday will be a dry day in between storm systems. By Tuesday, a wave of low pressure sliding along a frontal boundary will bring a more widespread round of rain to the region. Showers and even a few thunderstorms will be possible on Tuesday. Those storms could produce downpours and localized street flooding. We can’t rule out gusty winds in the strongest storms.
Wednesday looks to be a dry day as we’ll once again be in between the storm on Tuesday and another area of low pressure likely to arrive late Wednesday night into Thursday. Once again on Thursday, we will have the potential for numerous showers and thunderstorms during the daytime hours…
