Rhode Island Office of the Child Advocate panel reviews 30 child deaths, 11 near-deaths

A new report from the Rhode Island Office of the Child Advocate found high workloads and staffing turnover are among the issues with child protective services in the state.

The report reviewed 30 child fatalities and 11 near-fatalities going back to 2019.
