3 injured after tree limb crashes on car in Warwick

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Three women escaped with minor injuries after a large tree limb came crashing down onto their car in Warwick.

The incident happened on Church Avenue, which was closed for about an hour in the 200 block as crews worked to clean up the scene. The roadway has since reopened.

The two women in the front seat were trapped by branches that had come though the windshield, according to Battalion Chief Bill Wilson. They were extricated from the car by first responders, while the backseat passenger was able to get out on her own…
