WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — A Warwick police officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a crash Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 5:15 a.m. on West Shore Road, according to Warwick Police Chief Michael Lima.
Lima said the officer was heading toward Conimicut Village when he hit a utility pole in the area of Waverly Street. He was not responding to an emergency call at the time, the chief noted, and no other vehicles were involved…
