What potential impacts does the coastal storm forecast predict?

(WJAR) — A relatively dry week is ahead with cooler than average temperatures and a persistent northeast wind through Thursday.

Our medium range-forecast guidance continues to show the potential of a slow moving, potentially high impact coastal storm affecting our area toward the end of the week, possibly lasting for much of the weekend.

It’s still early for specifics BUT the potential of a period of tropical storm force wind and bands of occasionally heavy rain for much of the area is a real concern.
