EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A nor’easter that’s brewing offshore is expected to impact Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts this coming weekend.
The current forecast calls for periods of heavy rain and strong wind gusts from Friday night through all of Saturday, with some lingering impacts on Sunday.
A High Wind Warning is in effect for much of our area, with gusts of 50 to 60 mph or higher possible. Northern Rhode Island and Massachusetts are currently under a Wind Advisory.
