Economic hardships may be getting harder for some people in South County as the Jonnycake Center for Hope’s food supplies are used by more people this year compared to last.
Recent statistics show a 16-percent increase in people using food donations and an overall 10-percent increase in the number of new households being served, said Kate Brewster, the center’s executive director.
