EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Many New Englanders have had to change their weekend plans due to the oncoming nor’easter, but few more so than Maya Bass and Jeffrey MacDougall.
For more than a year, the Wakefield couple had been planning their wedding at MacDougall’s grandparents’ house on Block Island.
But with the forecast calling for strong winds, heavy rain and rough seas, they made the difficult decision to scrap their plans. That left them with just days to not only find a new venue, but also figure out how to move their guests and vendors off the island…
