Our coastal storm has stalled to our southwest this Sunday, as expected. The worst of the wind has passed…but the rain remains relentless through Monday.
The stalling of the storm today actually allows for the low pressure storm to weaken a bit, and therefore our wind speeds decrease gradually today. However, bands of heavy rainfall will be off and on for the entire day, tonight, and Monday.
About 2-6” of rain fell in the last 24 hours across southern and eastern New England. Plymouth County, Bristol County, Upper Cape Cod & The Vineyard have had the most rainfall so far.
Flooding rainfall continues today into Monday. It’s a gradual rainfall accumulation, with another 1-3” expected in most of eastern Massachusetts to Rhode Island. That’s where a flood watch continues through late Monday night…
