CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Even though the flashing lights under the Oaklawn Avenue bridge weren’t necessary during this weekend’s nor’easter, a Cranston councilor is sounding the alarm over a broken flood warning system.
Cranston City Councilor Frank Ritz told 12 News the flash flood warning system underneath the bridge, which is right at the corner of Oaklawn and Wilbur avenues, hasn’t been working since Sept. 13.
