CCRI and URI announce new RN-to-BS program

WARWICK, R.I. (WJAR) — On Thursday the Community College of Rhode Island and the University of Rhode Island announced a new, fully remote registered nurse to Bachelor of Science program.

This program will allow CCRI alumni to receive their bachelor’s degree in a more “accessible” and “adaptable” way. The collaboration aims at strengthening Rhode Island’s nursing workforce.

“CCRI is proud to give our nursing alumni a direct, practical path to a bachelor’s degree without asking them to step away from the patients and communities they already serve,” said CCRI President Rosemary A. Costigan, Ph.D., RN. “Partnering with URI on this RN-to-BS program reflects our shared commitment to strengthening Rhode Island’s healthcare workforce and to meeting our graduates where they are — in their careers, their families, and their lives.”…
