In a few months, Blank Street will touch down in Rhode Island for the first time, just steps away from Brown’s campus. The new location will open at 218 Thayer St., filling the vacancy that Starbucks left after an abrupt closure last year.
“We had a few dozen places that were interested, and we decided Blank Street was the best fit for that location,” said Harrison Dulgarian, the senior vice president for Dulgarian Properties, the company that leases the space.
Dulgarian said they chose the cafe chain to fill the vacancy because “they obviously have a strong standing financially,” and he also thought Blank Street would “go well with the community.”…
