NEW: Allegations of Foulkes’ Campaign Illegal Contributions Grow to $285,000
Just weeks after the Helena Foulkes campaign was found to have taken improper campaign contributions, new allegations have been made, and complaints have been filed with the Rhode Island Board of Elections.
A September investigation by GoLocal found tens of thousands of donations that exceeded state campaign limits or were improperly recorded. The Foulkes campaign was forced to return and forfeit thousands of dollars in donations as well as amend multiple campaign finance reports.
