If you asked me where Woonsocket was two years ago, I would have told you I had no idea. Because really, that was the truth. Most of my mom’s side of the family lives in Rhode Island, with the closest cousins living in Smithfield. When I was given the coverage areas of North Smithfield and Woonsocket when I started working for The Breeze back in 2022, I knew I would be walking into foreign territory.
