Driver issued warning for causing two-car collision

PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — A driver was issued a warning for causing a two-vehicle collision on Saturday evening, said Plainfield police.

Police, fire, and medical personnel responded to the intersection of Canterbury and Weston Road for a two-car motor vehicle accident.

The investigation determined that a 2014 Honda CRV was traveling east on Canterbury Road when police said a 2015 Ford Mustang failed to give it the right of way. The driver of the Ford Mustang left a stop sign on Weston Rd. and caused the collision with the Honda.

According to police, the driver of the Honda sustained minor injuries and was transported to Backus Plainfield Emergency Care Center for treatment. The operator of the Ford Mustang refused medical attention and was found to be at fault in the crash.

A&J Towing removed the vehicles from the scene and the driver of the Ford Mustang was issued a written warning for failure to grant right of way at an intersection.
