Mass. districts offering free mental health support

WRENTHAM, Mass. (WPRI) — Students, families and staff in Wrentham, Norfolk and Plainville public schools, including King Philip Regional High School, will now have free access to Care Solace services.

Care Solace is a company that offers mental health coordination services through “Care Companions.”

“Care Companions navigate the fragmented mental health care system on behalf of individuals, helping them find the perfect fit for their unique needs and insurance requirements,” the districts explained in a joint press release.

Care Companions are multilingual and available everyday 24/7.

Regional Director of Wellness Dot Pearl praised the program in the release.

“This collaboration reflects our commitment to ensuring that every students receives the care and support they need to succeed academically and emotionally,” Pearl said.

The funding for the program will come from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the town of Wrentham’s opioid settlement funds.
