In a disappointing turn of events for foodies in New Bedford, the beloved Freestone’s City Grill has closed its doors for good. Despite efforts to revive the business, including a new sign and reduced hours, the ownership announced on Sunday, June 30, that they had made the difficult decision to close the beloved downtown staple. The business was purchased in December 2022 to keep the flame burning, but several factors led to the closure.
