NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — Traffic is backed up on I-195 East after a serious crash in New Bedford.
The two right lanes are closed just before Exit 24, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation .
The ramp from I-195 East to Route 140 is also closed, MassDOT said.

A 12 News crew on scene said it appears multiple cars may have been involved including one that ended up on its roof.
No word on any injuries or what led up to the crash.
