NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) – New Bedford Police are seeking a criminal charge against a city man who said he accidentally shot his gun Wednesday night in the city’s West End. According to police, units responded at about 9 p.m. on September 11 to the area of Clark Street and Summer Street regarding a report of a fight in progress. They arrived to find the parties involved had fled the scene.
