The Old Colony History Museum has invited the community to the 250th Anniversary celebration of Liberty and Union Day, an annual event that celebrates Taunton, Massachusetts’ rich history and culture. “This year marks the 250th anniversary of the raising of the Liberty & Union flag in opposition to the British on October 21, 1774. To celebrate this grand occasion, the Old Colony History Museum is hosting a one-day festival that features what life was like in 1774 through a variety of local colonial crafter demonstrations, Continental and British reenactors, delicious food, as well as plenty of family-friendly activities,” explains the local history museum. “Join us for a vibrant and fun fall experience in the heart of beautiful Taunton.”
Liberty and Union Day is being hosted on Church Green outside of the Old Colony History Museum on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 11 am until 4 pm.
