“We had great weather Saturday for the annual Fire Prevention & Public Safety Day at the South Public Safety Center. October is National Fire Prevention Month and the SAFE Program members had the fire safety house set up along with the SAFE Program’s new stove/cooking fire educational simulator. The simulator demonstrates all the common cooking hazards including combustibles too close to a burner, cooking with oil and grease fires, and fires inside the stove.
