PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Pawtucket police took an 18-year-old suspect into custody after shots were fired in the city on Sunday night.
Police said the gunfire was reported around 7 p.m. in the 300 block of Lonsdale Avenue.
After finding a shell casing at a nearby intersection, patrol officers developed a suspect and vehicle.
The investigation led them to an address on Campbell Terrace where the suspect surrendered peacefully, according to police.
The suspect, who has not been identified, was charged with firing in a compact area.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
