Crews respond to serious crash on I-95 in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Traffic was backed up on both lanes of I-95 in Providence Wednesday morning due to a serious crash.

Crews responded to the southbound lanes near Exit 36B (Point Street) just before 6 a.m., resulting in the three left lanes being blocked.

A 12 News crew saw the medical examiner on scene.

The crash cleared around 7:15 a.m.
