CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — A 48-year-old woman was taken to the hospital after she was hit by a van Saturday evening, according to police.
Police said the incident happened around 5:12 p.m. in the area of Cranston Street and Chestnut Hill Avenue.
The woman wasn’t in a crosswalk while crossing Cranston Street, police said, when she was struck by a United States Postal Service minivan that was driving northbound.
She is in stable condition after suffering significant, but not life-threatening injuries.
There aren’t any charges against the driver at this time.
