Attleboro police said Jacob Lacourse, 33, should be considered armed and dangerous after a shooting on Nov. 16.
Authorities in Attleboro have identified Jacob Lacourse as a suspect in a shooting on Nov. 16 that left one person injured.
Police said Lacourse, 33, should be considered armed and dangerous and urged the public not to approach him.
Attleboro police said in a statement they responded to a shooting on Oakland Avenue around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. First responders took one victim, 58, to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, the statement said.
An initial statement from police asked for the public’s help identifying the suspect, who was caught on security camera footage. However, the department issued a statement later that day saying an “intensive investigation” identified Lacourse as the alleged shooter.
According to law enforcement, Lacourse has “connections” to addresses in both Attleboro, Massachusetts, and Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
“Anyone encountering Lacourse is asked to contact your local police department by dialing 911,” the statement said. “If anyone has information as to Lacourse’s possible whereabouts, they are asked to contact the Attleboro Police Department at (508) 222-1212.”
