PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Providence police said they’ve arrested someone accused of trying to rob a woman at knifepoint on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened just before 3:20 p.m. at the intersection of John Street and Governor Street, according to police.
The woman told officers the suspect had a knife and took her purse before going into her car, leaving the purse and then running away
The suspect was later arrested at Gano Street Park. There weren’t any injuries reported.
