18-year-old charged in fatal stabbing of 19-year-old in Brockton. What we know

BROCKTON — An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old in Brockton, officials said.

Brockton Police received a 911 call at approximately 1:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, from a resident reporting the stabbing of a male family member at 17 Foster St., Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz said in a written statement.

Brockton Police and emergency medical personnel responded and located a man suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to the Plymouth District Attorney’s Office.

The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead of his injuries.

Who is the victim?

The victim was identified as 19-year-old Kyre Ambrose, the DA’s office said.

Brockton Police contacted the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and investigated the incident.
