Fall River school placed on shelter in place over barricaded man, dismissal to be delayed

Fall River Police are currently dealing with an incident that is affecting a city school.

According to an email from Superintendent of Schools Tracy Curley to School Committe members, Letourneau Elementary is in a shelter-in- place due to an issue in the community.

An individual has barricaded himself in a dwelling on Lawton Street. Out of caution, dismissal will be delayed until further notice…
