PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Several officials from Providence Police and Fire, as well as Rhode Island Energy, responded to reports of manhole explosions Saturday night.
The incident happened around 10:00 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Chestnut and Pine Streets.
According to a spokesperson with the Providence Fire Department, firefighters saw smoke coming from three electrical vaults.
