FBI assisting in search for missing Cranston woman

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Cranston police continue to search for a missing 44-year-old autistic woman , and 12 News has confirmed the FBI has gotten involved.

BACKGROUND: Police still looking for missing autistic woman in Cranston

FBI agents were seen Friday in the area of North Clarendon Street, where police said Linda Delomba was last seen Wednesday afternoon.

Police announced the search is now a criminal investigation after Delomba’s caregiver gave conflicting statements about her whereabouts.

The caregiver said Delomba disappeared when using the bathroom at Burlington Coat Factory, according to police, but surveillance video showed they were never in that store.

Over the last three days, police said they interviewed multiple people believed to know more information and have searched two homes…
