A tail of two stories this weekend as the forecast is split between mild conditions this afternoon and cooler-than-average temperatures on Sunday. Let’s dive into it!
High pressure to the south of Southern New England opens the region to a southwest wind. This flow welcomes milder air in from the mid-Atlantic region, bumping our temperatures to the mid to upper 50s. Don’t be surprised if an inland community or two reaches 60 degrees! Unfortunately, sunshine is fairly limited this afternoon as clouds roll in ahead of a weak system expected to arrive this evening.
A spot shower is possible as the cold front arrives between 7-10 PM. Rain chances will be capped at 20%. The bigger impact from this front is the chilly air mass it introduces to the region.
Almost everyone starts in the 20s on Sunday morning. Evening with mostly sunny skies, temperatures continue to struggle.
All of us will be feeling the Monday blues to start the work week thanks to our next weather maker.
Showers are forecast to impact Southern New England for the majority of Monday…
